The rough Atlantic side of Spain welcomed us with friendly weather. Not as warm as in Oliva but mostly blue sky and a fresh wind.

The horses felt comfortable in the permanent stables. Instead of riding along the seaside they were taken for walks on sandy paths under pine trees within the 500 hectares surrounding the Dehesa Montenmedio Golf & Country Club.

The facilities of the Andalucia Sunshine Tour consist of 7 grass arenas and 13 „all weather“ training and competition areas. For all horses a great opportunity to make experience on different places and footings.

Olun and Mortimer started off in the 6 year old classes. They jumped so well that Laura decided to ride them only twice on both weekends.

Clarence was shown on the grass arenas where he is at his best being placed 4th and 12th. Tamina was irritated by the big screen. Moving her to the grass she was comfortable again being placed 9th in a 140 cm class.

Chloé showed Vigo Cruz and Haifa. With Vigo she found a good rhythm being placed 7th  in the small GP and 15th /16th  in other classes. Haifa still building up her confidence – never touching a fence.

Our „special guest“ Milla, her dad and Nadine Deville-Geisser joined us for the last week end. Milla was the attraction with the light blue „tenue“ of Quin. The film team took her and Quin as a „model“ for the promotion video for the Andalucia Sunshine Tour in Sping 2024.

We agreed to return to Oliva and Vejer in autumn 2024 as we did this year – as a final show before the winter break.
