The day trip from Oliva Nova to Vejer de la Frontera follows the coast of the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Sea. It offers stunning views of the Spanish landscape. Arriving at sunset on the showground of the Sunshine Tour the white cube houses of Vejer shine as the snow on the top of a hill.

The first week included a Nations Cup which the Irish team won followed by Belgium and the United States.

Our riders and horses continued to perform as in Oliva Nova:

Tori moved Tamina up to the 1.30 and Cascadella to the 1.25 classes. Her and her horses felt confident and easily reached the goal that was set for the end of the showjumping season.

Chloé showed Vigo Cruz in the 125 and Covetous in the 120 classes. A big step up the leader.

Laura’s horse finished off the season in good shape. Mortimer and BP Casablanca jumping clear in a 1.35 classes and Miss Pippa in her final 1.30 round finishing 6th. Heritage LVS van Gogh getting back into his „old form“ excited to jump the 1.20.

Simone Geisser joined us the last week with her three and a half year old daughter Eliza. She was definitely the youngest competitor on site riding back proudly JJ from the showground to the stables.

The good spirit of Alicia and Kate made these 14 show days relaxed and enjoyable.  Up to the last day everyone was highly motivated to end our Spanish expedition in the best way possible.

Michel Frey and his friend Urs flew into Sevilla to drive our horses back to Switzerland. In spite of heavy rains in Spain they arrived safe back in Thalheim. It was a great team effort which ended so successfully!
