Fares Azounis and his three horses, Tourano, I’am Special and EIC Castiglione joined us at the show in Lier to ride the U25 classes.
Aside of the Nation Cup finals for ponies, juniors and young riders the show hosted a CSI1* and U25 classes. There were so many horses and riders admitted that the classes started early, finished late with no time to change the courses.
There were no regulations on how many riders were allowed in the warm up area which made it impossible for the riders to prepare the horses as needed.
They did their best to cope with the situation. Some horses could handle it better – some did not.
Coming from Sentower Park with the glory of so many good results we had to accept that this cannot be repeated in Lier.
Slightly disappointed we travelled home and now look forward to the upcoming shows in Oliva and Vejer de la Frontera in Spain during October.
