Four horses left for Munich: BP Lion Man and Miss Pippa for Tori Rowe and BP Casablanca and Cascadella for Laura. The good weather allowed them to ride on the “Hufeisenplatz” the big grass arena that is the highlight of this show.
Tori was aiming to jump the big tour, her first 1.40 classes on BP Lion Man and the medium tour on Miss Pippa,125 classes. The confidence she built up with both horses during the last few shows reflect the results: Double clear on BP Lion Man being placed 6th and 9th competing at her first 1.40 classes! Miss Pippa clear and one unlucky mistake in two starts. All harmonious well ridden rounds.
The holes of BP Casablanca’s aluminium shoes were deformed to put in the studs properly. He lost them and felt unsecure after slipping several times. Still, he enjoyed jumping under the trees of the grass arena. Cascadella was overwhelmed by the audience close to the ring and the ticking of big screen entering the arena. No use to try to compete.
The pleasure to see Tori reach her goal to ride the 1.40 classes made Munich 2026 a success. Reason to celebrate at dinners with the Rowe family, Bruno Kalt and Alicia.
