On Monday the horses moved from Valkenwaard to Peelbergen. In-between the shows they had a few relaxing days hacking in the woods around the showground. Ready for a new challenge.
Most of the competitions were on grass. Tori’s horses Tamina, Cascadella and Lion Man were jumping convincingly the 1.25 and 1.30 classes. On Sunday, Tori and Laura decided that Lion Man starts in the small GP at a height of 1.35. As there were competing many top riders the course was built technical and at maximum height. Many riders were eliminated. Tori was not bothered watching all this. Lion Man and she showed all their potential. They were placed 12th!
Laura’s horses Miss Pippa and Casablanca jumped the 2* and Queen of Hearts the 1*. On grass the Irish felt „at home“. Miss Pippa competed for the first time in the small GP at a height of 1.35. She showed her quality and her lovely mind not looking at any of the colorful fences and the black wall.
The horses were highly motivated, accepted the challenge of higher fences, technical courses, colorful jumps and the grass arena. Alicia Stein made their stay enjoyable looking well after them in the stables and preparing them for the ring.
Bruno Kalt and Michel Frey broght „hay from Switzerland“ as the horses were not pleased by what they were given at the show. Having the Renault on site we bought some of the colorful fences for the horses to train at home.
Tori has reached a new level with her horses in Peelbergen. The more we are excited to leave for St. Margarethen, Austria our next show.
