To travel over Eastern is always a hassle. We left early to drive through the San Gottardo tunnel before the traffic jam was building up.
We arrived just in time to unload the horses, install them into their boxes and do the vet check before 18.00.
The Tuscan Spring weather rewarded us with warm sunny days throughout our stay.
Tori Rowe needed a special permission from the US Federation to ride the CSI 4* on Lion Man. He new about the importance of his performance being placed twice 13th out of over 70 riders. Also Tamina and Miss Pippa showed clear rounds – a pleasure to watch.
Laura was excited about the progress of her two young horses, BP Queen of Hearts and Vivi (Tausendbachls Nasowieso). They improved their rideability and moved up easily to the 1.15 classes. Cascadella again was clear and fast – also in the 1.35 classes.
The second week was less successful but both Tori and Laura showed smooth rounds on all their horses mostly clears or with one fault.
Nevertheless, we had other reasons to celebrate. Family Rowe, Jeff, Amy, Tori as well as our special guest coming from the US Maggie plus Bruno Kalt who joined us for the last weekend shared Alicia Steins 23rd birthday at Pizzeria Neda. Alicia truly deserved the appreciation she received for her daily commitment for us and our horses.
Arezzo is the most beautiful place to start the spring season!
