We loaded Chloé Uffenheimer’s horses Cassayo CH and Covetous, Milla Frey’s Quin du Rouet and Timoteo, Laura’s Tausendbachls Nasowieso (called Vivi) and Nadine Deville-Geisser’s Melbourne to drive to Ornago, a village near Milan.
We encountered traffic since the Formula 1 GP took place at the same weekend in Monza. It was a warm September evening when we arrived at the Scuderia della Malaspina. The horses were quickly installed in a nice corner given to us by Carola, the secretary.
Day one started off well:
Clear rounds for Milla with both her horses being placed 3rd on Quin. Laura double clear on Melbourne and Vivi. Chloé showing neat rounds with both Covetous and Cassayo CH who impressed with his cool behavior amongst the Italian chaos in the warm up.
Saturday arrived Nadine Deville to watch Melbourne. He did not disappoint her with another clear round. Milla clear again with Quin she challenged the 1m class on Timoteo. Chloé found a good rhythm with both her horses showing solid rounds.
Sunday reflected the results from the last two days on a higher level. All horses jumped these classes easily taking home a positive experience. We take home memories of a lovely Italian show – good sport, food and fun.
